Respite Care

LEA Care provides home-based respite services that are designed to help maintain our clients in their home environment as an alternative to residential placement. Respite Care is temporary care, which provides family caregivers relief from the full-time care they have been providing for a loved one. At LEA Care, our services are contract-free and Respite Care can be arranged on a temporary basis.

Relief to Parents or Carers: We provide relief to parents or carers, who care for individuals or when emergencies occur that take caregivers away from the home for short periods. This helps reduce stress and improves family functioning.

Coverage: We can provide temporary or long-term relief (min of two hours per session) to families, parents and caretakers of our clients with varying complex health needs.

Referrals: Referrals for home-based respite care can be made directly by families and/or providers.

Do I Require Respite Care?
If you are contemplating Respite Care, ask yourself the following questions:

  • Do you provide full or part-time care to your loved one?
  • Does your loved one require assistance while you are away or on a break?
  • Do you need a short break away from your responsibilities as a carer?
  • Do you want your loved one to remain in their home while you are away?
What are your loved one’s specific needs?
